The Argument Room was an interactive, internet-based debating forum that Rideout created in 2008 and ran until 2013.

Every month or so, practitioners from the worlds of the arts and social justice would gather round a a table at venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, the Insitute of Contemporary Arts or the October Gallery, and engage with key questions of social policy. The debates were streamed live, allowing watchers both to view and contribute to the conversation.

Contributors and guests included Juliet Lyon, Bea Campbell, Tim Etchells, Ed Berman, Tim Crouch, Phelim McDermott, David Micklem, Frances Rifkin, Chris Goode, Kelda Holmes, Gillian Hannah, Anna Furse, Clair Chapwell, Simon Callow, Roland Muldoon, Sue Croft and others.
