SAIL OR JAIL (A Bigger Sound) was a collaboration between Rideout, Music in Prisons and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It took place at HMP The Mount where the companies worked together with prisoners in order to create an original musical. It took place in 2012.

 

The storyline imagined a state in which those convicted of crime could choose to stay at sea for the duration of their sentence, rather than spend that time in jail. 

 

A documentary about the project was later featured on BBC Radio Two.
